Victorian small businesses continue to suffer under Daniel Andrews
The Sensis Small Business Index for the December quarter once again found Victorian small businesses have a negative attitude to Daniel Andrews’ policies.
This is the 12th straight negative result for the Andrews Labor Government as Victoria continues to lag behind New South Wales.
When it comes to the Andrews Labor Government, Sensis declared:
“The main concern expressed by SMBs unimpressed with the Victorian Government related to trading hours and extra public holidays, followed by a perception the Government takes too much notice of unions.”
The Sensis Small Business Index was a key part of the Andrews Government’s Small Business policy at the 2014 Victorian State Election. The current rating under Minister Dalidakis continues to be worse than during the time of former Minister Somyurek.
Quotes attributable to Shadow Minister for Small and Medium Enterprise, Neale Burgess:
“Once again Victoria trails behind NSW thanks to Daniel Andrews’ reckless policy that punishes small business.
“Only the Andrews Labor Government would punish hardworking family businesses to appease their union mates.
“Victoria is the highest taxing state in Australia after Daniel Andrews introduced 12 new taxes to hurt families and businesses.”
