Taxi changes drive up cost of living
Daniel Andrews is doing everything he can to drive up the cost of living for Victorians.
We’ve had power prices and gas prices skyrocket, eleven tax hikes and now Daniel Andrews wants to allow taxi fares to surge.
This comes on the back of the shambolic changes to the taxi industry presided over by Labor.
Daniel Andrews’ dismantling of the taxi industry has been a shambles with inconsistent and hopelessly inadequate transition assistance and an unfair ‘fairness’ fund.
Families, many with migrant backgrounds, have worked hard to build up an asset only to have it torn away by Daniel Andrews.
With all these changes we need to ask what protections will there be for consumers, particularly the vulnerable, disabled and disadvantaged and those lacking public transport alternatives, or does Daniel Andrews propose a solely market driven free for all?
At the next election Victorians have a choice between a reckless Labor Government forcing up the cost of living with reckless targets or a Liberal Nationals Government that has a plan to handle our energy crisis.
