Daniel Andrews’ gifts for criminals program
Daniel Andrews’ expanded drug court will see offenders given free footy tickets and supermarket vouchers just for complying with drug treatment orders that were imposed so they could avoid jail.
It’s no surprise that Daniel Andrews once again is putting the rights of offenders before law-abiding Victorians and victims.
Law-abiding Victorians have to work hard so they can afford to take their families to the footy or buy goods from the supermarket.
If addicts who have broken the law need to be bribed with free footy tickets before they’ll comply with their drug treatment orders, they shouldn’t be on the program.
They should only be on this program because they want to do it for themselves and their family and friends, not because they want to go to the MCG and see a free game of footy.
What is Victoria coming to under Daniel Andrews when people have to be bribed to obey the law?
People should abide by the law because it’s the right thing to do, not because there’s something in it for them.
